This Privacy Notice is addressed to Independent Professionals, Clients, Suppliers, and BDO Employees, both active and inactive, whose Personal Data is included in the Companies' Databases.
BDO BUSINESS GROUP (hereinafter BDO), composed of the companies BDO COLOMBIA S.A.S. BIC, BDO AUDIT S.A. BIC, BDO OUTSOURCING S.A.S. BIC, BDO ASEGURAMIENTO S.A.S, BDO ASSURANCE S.A.S, and BDO SHARE SERVICE CENTER S.A.S. BIC, all companies duly incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Colombia, with registered offices at Carrera 16 No. 97-46, 8th floor, and email servicioalcliente@bdo.com.co for any inquiries and claims related to personal data protection.
INFORMS:
That BDO collects, stores, uses, and transmits or transfers (as applicable) the personal data of its Independent Professionals, Clients, Suppliers, and BDO Employees, both active and inactive, for the following purposes:
a) To execute contracts signed with clients.
b) To process payments for contractual obligations.
c) To send information to governmental or judicial entities upon their explicit request.
d) To support internal and external audit processes.
e) To process payroll payments, issue employment certifications, and invite active employees to company events.
f) To issue employment certificates requested by former employees.
g) To contact independent professionals, employees, clients, and suppliers to send commercial information upon request or related to contractual relationships.
h) To develop internal communication campaigns that may include data of BDO employees in Colombia.
i) To contact professionals who submit rΓ©sumΓ©s for job interviews.
j) To submit requested proposals, either electronically, in writing, or via digital means.
k) To send emails containing newsletters, publications, event invitations, and other relevant information for clients and/or prospects.
l) To send proposals and service portfolios.
m) To send satisfaction surveys and service improvement programs (only for clients).
The personal data collected for the above purposes may be shared with personnel from the Human Talent Management, Financial Management, Administrative Management, Marketing and Business Development Management, Legal Management, and Procurement Management departments.
Additionally, we inform you that once the need for processing your data ceases, it may be deleted from BDO’s databases or securely archived so that it is only disclosed as required by law.
As a personal data holder, you have the following rights under Article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012:
a) To know, update, and rectify your personal data with the data controllers and processors. This right may be exercised, among others, for partial, inaccurate, incomplete, misleading data or data whose processing is expressly prohibited or unauthorized.
b) To request proof of the authorization granted, except when it is expressly exempted as a requirement for processing.
c) To be informed, upon written request, about how your personal data has been used by the data controller or processor.
d) To file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce for violations of Law 1581 of 2012 and other applicable regulations.
e) To revoke the authorization and/or request the deletion of your data when the processing does not comply with constitutional and legal principles, rights, and guarantees.
f) To access your personal data free of charge when it has been subject to processing.
g) To decide whether to authorize the processing of sensitive data.
